Dog door, no hole to cut

A dog door for French and glass doors. Without cutting a hole.

A rugged, all-metal dog door that installs on the door you already own, with no cutting and no door replacement. Works on French doors, glass-panel doors and solid swinging doors. Your deadbolt still locks like normal, and because nothing is cut, it comes off clean if you rent or move.

Three ways to give your dog a door.

Only one of them leaves your door the way you found it.

Cut a hole in your door
$300–500

A flap installed into your existing door. Costs several hundred to install, and the hole is permanent. Your door is never the same.

Replace the Door
$2,000+

Buy a new door with a flap already in it and throw out the door you have. The most expensive option by far.

Keep your door
In-N-Out Pet Door
$97.99

Attaches to the door you already own. No hole, no contractor, no damage. Remove it any time and your door is untouched.

Why it's better

Every other dog door destroys something. This one doesn't.

Traditional flap doors require a permanent hole in your door, or a whole new door. The In-N-Out Pet Door leaves your door intact.

Same door, two approaches. One of them you can undo.

The Old Ways

  • Cut a large hole in your door (costs hundreds)
  • Replace the entire door (costs thousands)
  • Both ways leave an opening a burglar or snake can crawl through

The In-N-Out Way

  • Attaches to the door you already own
  • One flat price: $97.99
  • Removable and portable, take it with you
  • Deadbolt locks as normal, no security gap

Works on swinging doors

French doors, glass-panel doors, solid doors, and a lot of doors that are solid glass. The dog pushes on the paddle to open the door, a blocking plate holds the latch back, and an adjustable spring closes it behind them.

No size limit

One dog door for small, medium and large dogs. From 5-pound dogs to 500-pound dogs, there's no upper limit. Owners have used it for cats and pot-bellied pigs too. Have a very small dog and a very large one? Run the stacked configuration.

Actually secure

No large opening means no easy entry for burglars or snakes, and your deadbolt keeps working exactly as it did before.

Setup

On the door in minutes.

No cutting, no contractor, no ruined door. Nine screws and you're done.

Attach it

Install the dog door on your existing door with nine screws. No big hole cut in the door required. Step-by-step instructions, illustrations, a tools list and a parts list are included.

Introduce your dog

A written guide on introducing your dog to the dog door comes with the product. Dogs push with their heads naturally, so once a dog sees where to push it becomes second nature.

Let them in and out

To go out, your dog pushes on the paddle. To come in, they push the door itself. The adjustable spring closes it behind them every time.

See it in action

Watch a real dog use it.

The fastest way to understand the In-N-Out Pet Door is to watch a dog figure it out. Most take to it almost right away.

How the In-N-Out Pet Door works

The full overview: how the paddle, blocking plate, and adjustable spring work together to let your dog come and go while your door stays intact.

Seen enough?

About the product

One product. Built to do it right.

The In-N-Out Pet Door isn't a flap you cut into a door. It's a rugged, all-metal mechanism that mounts to the door you already own and lets your dog open it themselves, then closes securely behind them.

The paddle is made from 22-gauge sheet metal, powder coated, then finished with a thick coating of Plastisol. A blocking plate holds your door's latch so it swings freely, and a custom adjustable spring returns the door to closed and holds it there.

The design is US patented, and we manufacture the dog door right here in Texas. Every kit ships with step-by-step instructions, illustrations, a tools list and a parts list.

How it works

Three parts. No hole.

Every piece does one job, and none of them require cutting into your door.

01

The paddle

The all-metal paddle mounts on the edge of your door, at the height of your dog. Your dog pushes it with their head and the door swings open. Coming back in, they push the door itself. That's the whole action, and most dogs learn very quickly.

02

The blocking plate

A small plate that holds your door's latch back so it can't catch on the strike plate. That's what lets the door swing freely for your dog. Nothing is taped, nothing is modified, and your deadbolt is untouched.

03

The adjustable spring

Mounted at the top, it pulls the door closed behind your dog every time and holds it there. Adjustable, so you can set the tension to match your dog's size and your door's weight.

On security

A flap door is a hole in your house.

A person crawling through a large flap dog door opening, crossed out

What a flap door leaves behind

To fit a large dog, a flap opening has to be large. That opening is permanent, and it's there whether your door is locked or not. It's big enough for someone to reach an arm through and work the lock from the inside, and at the biggest sizes, big enough for a person to get through entirely.

Deadbolting the door doesn't close the hole. Nothing closes the hole. It's part of your door now.

What this leaves behind

Nothing. There is no opening in your door at any point, because nothing was ever cut. When you lock up at night, you're locking a solid, intact door, exactly the one you had before.

Your deadbolt throws normally and holds normally. And if you ever want the door completely back to stock, take out nine screws.

While your dog is using it, the door is held closed by the spring rather than the latch, the same as any door left on the latch. When you want the house locked up, you throw the deadbolt exactly like you always have.

Our story

Made because nothing else did the job.

Every dog door on the market requires the same bad trade: cut a permanent hole in a good door, pay a contractor to do it, or replace the whole door for thousands. None of them felt right, and none of them kept the door secure afterward.

So we built the one we actually wanted, and we build it in Texas. A single, well-made product that solves the whole problem, no hole, no ruined door, no security gap, at a price that doesn't punish you for wanting your dog to come and go on their own.

That's still all we make. One product, done right, backed by people who'll actually pick up the phone.

"I just want to say best invention ever! Your product was installed on our French doors with ease. Did it myself with very clear instructions. Our two German shepherds picked up on it right away. We're rural, so leaving a door open wasn't a big deal except for the dust and a kick in utility bills. Now it's like we are here to let them in and out. So awesome."

Answers before you buy.

Still not sure? Call us at 682-258-7730. A real person answers.

Will my dog actually use it?
Almost always, yes. Dogs naturally use their heads to push on things they want to move, so the dog door makes sense to them. It works for dogs from 5 pounds to 500 pounds, with no upper size limit, and owners have used it for cats and pot-bellied pigs as well. A written guide is included, and you can watch Abby, a 70-pound Weimaraner, learn it for the first time on our Videos page. One dog named Mable just went in and out on her own with no introduction at all.
Do I have to cut a hole in my door?
No. That's the whole point. The In-N-Out Pet Door attaches to the door you already own using nine screws. There is no large hole, no cutting, and no permanent damage. Remove it later and your door is intact.
Will it work on my door?
It works on doors that swing open: French doors, glass-panel doors, and solid doors. Because it attaches to the door instead of going through it, you keep your existing door exactly as it is. It does not work on sliding glass doors. If you're unsure about your setup, call 682-258-7730 and we'll tell you straight.
My door latches when it closes. Do I have to tape the latch?
No, and nothing gets modified. The kit includes a blocking plate that mounts on the edge of your door and holds the latch back so it can't catch on the strike plate. The door then swings freely for your dog and settles closed against the adjustable spring. Your deadbolt still throws normally, so you lock up at night exactly like you always have. When you take the dog door off, the latch works as it always did.
How does the door close behind my dog?
The kit comes with a custom-made adjustable spring that returns your door to the closed position and holds it there. A blocking plate keeps your door's latch from deploying so the door swings freely for your dog.
Is it secure? Can someone get in?
This is the most secure kind of dog door precisely because there's no large opening cut into your door. Your deadbolt lock works as normal, so you lock up at night exactly like you always have. A flap-type door leaves a hole a burglar or a snake can crawl through. This doesn't.
What if I have a small dog and a big dog?
Try the stacked configuration. It lets both a very small dog and a very large dog use the same door on their own.
What's it made of, and where?
We manufacture it in Texas. The design is all metal. The paddle is 22-gauge sheet metal, powder coated, then covered with a thick coating of Plastisol.
What if I don't like it?
If you are not 100% satisfied, you may return the item within 14 days of purchase for a full refund of the purchase price minus a $15.00 restocking fee. Returned items must arrive in new, complete condition. Email us with tracking info to get started.
Can I take it with me if I move?
Yes. It's easy to install and just as easy to remove, and it's fully portable. Take it off, take it with you, and put it on the next door.
